I grew up in Gatesville, TX (fun fact, Gatesville is known as the “Spur Capital of Texas”) & had the pleasure of having a functioning drive-in theater, The Last Drive-In Picture Show, (they also have an indoor theater attached) to enjoy & conveniently located very close to my home.

To this day, I love going to the movies & I especially appreciate the beauty of old theaters & drive-in movies. Now, living in Ann Arbor, I have the pleasure of having two lovely, old theaters right downtown – the Michigan Theater & the State Theater.

Going to the movies is always fun, but something about going to see a movie in an old theater or drive-in movie is extra special; they have a certain charm & character that modern theaters just don’t possess. So, I encourage you to seek out places like this, grab yourself a bucket of popcorn & a soda, & sit back & enjoy the show!
