An Audience for Innocence

A Charlie Brown Christmas

It’s no secret that I’m crazy about the holidays; I am full of Christmas cheer & love getting into the spirit of the season…spending time with family & friends, warm fires (if you’re lucky enough to have one of these), cozy sweaters, snow falling outside (depending on where you live, of course), lots of yummy treats, taking time to relax & celebrate, looking back on the past & looking forward to the new year, etc.

One thing that I really enjoy is watching holiday movies – you know, to help with the Christmas cheer & all; there are lots of great ones out there, in my opinion, & one of my favorites is A Charlie Brown Christmas. I think it helps us to feel like kids again, which you have to love, & I came across this beautiful quote by Charles Schulz himself – he said, “There will always be an audience for innocence in this country.” So, here’s to capturing a little childhood innocence of our own this holiday season, no matter what our age might be!

Here’s one of my favorite clips from the movie…

  1. I like this one too…my favorite though, is Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas.

  2. Amy, I love that one too! I wonder if you can get that on DVD – I haven’t seen it in so long. 🙂
